Last July, @chefmonaleena started baking mana’eesh out of her loft in Oakland to feed her neighbors. Since then we have gone through so many ups and downs, highs and lows, successes and failures while trying to navigate the most unpredictable year of our lives.
Through all that, we have pushed through and kept going and today we will be able to share with you the MOST EXCITING NEWS YET! But first, the sorta sad temporary news:
Saturday, May 1 was our last pop up at the libertine until further notice, but for a good reason...WE BOUGHT A RESTAURANT! And we begin construction on Monday!
🎊 🎉 🍾 🥂
Now, this isn’t goodbye to the Mana’eesh Lady forever, this is just a brief intermission while Chef Mona goes full speed ahead getting the restaurant set up by this summer! We will still take private catering orders for mana’eesh and dips on a case by case basis as our schedule permits. Feel free to inquire via the contact page.
We want to thank all of you for the incredible love and support you’ve shown us the last ten months, none of this would have been possible without all of you, our loyal customers and followers.
We will see you this summer in Berkeley! We will be the restaurant named Lulu!
